Installation
“A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.” – Louis Nizer
This famous quote paints a true picture of the talent employed by Ralph’s. A great installation is more than cutting wood and pounding nails, it requires a perfect blend of heart and science to make a floor a masterpiece. A great installation starts here

Staining
Color is one of the most important elements in deciding on a floor. It not only makes a statement about your home, it is a reflection of your own personality. A dark rich floor may be just what is needed to complete the look you always wanted or perhaps light and airy suits your style. Using multiple techniques, we can achieve a color that is uniquely yours.
Finishing
Ralph's Hardwood Floor Company is proud to offer Glitsa Swedish Finish, in fact, we have built our reputation on it. Glitsa Swedish Finish is well known in Northeast Wisconsin, and has been for some time now. We feel this finish accentuates the natural beauty and color of the wood and has a level of clarity not found in most other finishes. Its reputation for durability and scratch resistance is well earned. Glitsa Swedish finish is still requested by the majority of our customers.
As Ralph’s has evolved, we have realized that one size does not fit all. The needs and desires of our clients are as varied as they can be. There are other finishes available include polyurethane, water-base urethane, Moisture Cure, natural oils, waxes, and Tung Oil, to name just a few. Which is right for you?
Re-Finishing
Is your existing hardwood floor looking dull and lifeless? Perhaps it is worn down to the bare wood and you just want it to look new again. Maybe you are ready to completely change the look of your home? Sometimes simply an additional coat of finish can be applied and other times the floor should be completely sanded down. Which option is best for you?
